It is mid December and thankfully the snow has kept its distance, instead, here at Burn Hall we are knee deep in Christmas Parties and festive celebrations. We do still have some last minute places available for our Christmas Day Lunch and New Years Eve festivities if you have not yet made any plans. Contact our sales team for further details.
For those of you who have yet to visit us this December, there is plenty to see and do in York and the surrounding areas. Why not join Santas Steam Adventure at the National Railway Muesum from 17th to 23rd (www.nrm.org.uk), put your skates on at Yorkshires Winter Wonderland and The Ice Factor situated at the Designed Outlet (www.theicefactor.co.uk) or relax and take in the traditional Christmas festivities at Castle Howard (www.castlehoward.co.uk).

Just a little Travel Update for those of you visiting Burn Hall this November.
We have just been advised that from 14th November there will be roadworks on the A19 between the villages of Tollerton & Shipton. The roadworks will last for 14 days and will be operational between 7pm and 5am.
Please allow more time for your journey if you are attending any functions. |

The summer has been and gone and we have been exceptionally busy.
Congratulations to all of our brides and grooms that have celebrated their weddings this summer. We hope that you had a fantastic honeymoon and look forward to seeing you soon.
We welcome to the team Mike Sweeting, Food and Beverage Manager and congratulate Jim Wilkinson on his promotion to Head Chef. Look out for new promotions and offers for our bar & restaurants. Check out our new menus available now.
The sales team have been busy up and down the country where we have taken part in some fantastic exhibitions. We attended 'Office' at Earls Court, 'GLTT' at the NEC and 2 wedding shows at York Racecourse and Xscape. It was lovely to meet so many people and we look forward to working with you in the future.

Even the rain couldn't put a dampner on our fantastic charity party evening last night in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
Staff, hotel guests and lots of locals joined us to raise money for the charity, taking part in the tombola, hook-a-duck and cocnut shy. Kids had their faces painted and joined in with our magician learning some magic tricks while the adults simply enjoyed some of the great ales and cocktails available in the drinks tent. Live music provided the backgound to the party night and we even had a ceilidh in the rain!
A huge Thank You to everyone who attended and to everyone that donated towards the raffle.
